"The Rosala Viking Centre is situated near an archeological site at the Viking's Eastern Route, which went through the Finnish archipelago. Viking museum, reconstructed houses and theme programs for business and leisure." The site contains a great deal of information about the Centre and Viking life in general.

This site, from PBS' NOVA television show, is "the companion Web site to The Vikings, a two-hour NOVA program originally broadcast on May 9, 2000. The program examines a new, less barbarian image of the Norsemen based on recent archeological investigations." Here you can explore a Viking village, learn who the Vikings were, examine Viking ships, write your name in runes and more.

"This page deals with ancient metalcraft and research from mainly an experimental approach. The page will provide texts, resources and links related to the archaeology of ancient and early historic metalcrafts.
The Iron Age/early Middle Age founders cast in techniques with roots deep down in Bronze Age and the methods presented here could, with slight adjustments, be said to be relevant for all the Scandinavian Iron Age and up into the Middle Ages."

Unfortunately, the touring exhibit for which this web site was built has ended, but the site is still active and holds tons of interesting information, pictures, activities, movies, and much more. This exhibit highlights the Viking journey throughout the North Atlantic from Scandinavia to Iceland to North America. There are three main areas: the Exhibit, which you can take a guided tour of the exhibit; Viking Voyage, which has some interactive features, movies, etc.; and the Learning Center, where you will find a teacher's guide, a board game, links, bibliography and more.
